We back founders building strong, sustainable and highly-scalable technology businesses.

Our

mission

Our mission is to close the gap in venture capital funding for women by helping founders build healthy, sustainable and highly scalable businesses. We do this by being an early investor in women-led ventures, providing cash investment and support to their startups.

HearstLab exclusively invests in women-led and co-led companies and provides networks and resources to accelerate the growth of their businesses.

HearstLab was established by Eve Burton, Executive Vice President Hearst, and has funded over 50 companies since its inception in 2016.

Our
Approach

One of the biggest challenges to female entrepreneurs is access: access to networks, access to business advice and access to capital. We seek to cure this problem.

Capital

We make cash investment in the range of 100,000£/€ to 500,000£/€ and collaboratively invest alongside VCs and angels.

Networks

HearstLab Scouts are women leaders across Hearst who share their expertise, experience and networks. Their global, collective expertise spans industries including finance, transportation, health and media. Our Scouts are key to the success of HearstLab and a source of support to our portfolio companies. We also help with connections to coinvestors and angels.
